General Terms and Conditions for Ticket Purchase and Booking

Introduction

The Eventi letterari Monte Verità (hereinafter referred to as the “Festival”) manage the sale of tickets to visitors (hereinafter referred to as “Buyer” or “Buyers”) on their website www.eventiletterari.ch through the Smeetz for Business platform.

These provisions apply to all ticketing services offered by the Festival, both online and on-site, for events organized from April 10th to April 13th, 2025. The Festival is not responsible for the sale or reservation of tickets for events organized in collaboration with other entities, institutions, or cinemas before April 10th, 2025.
 
1. Mandatory Booking

i. All events of the thirteenth edition of the Festival, whether paid or free, require the purchase of a ticket or a reservation, unless otherwise specified.

ii. Holders of a daily pass or festival pass must book their seat for individual events through the online ticket office by entering the booking code received in the purchase confirmation.
 
2. Purchase of Tickets, Daily Passes and Festival Passes

i. Tickets, Daily Passes, and Festival Passes can be purchased online through the Festival’s official website www.eventiletterari.ch starting from March 5th, 2025, at 08:00 AM and at authorized Festival ticket desks, operational from April 10th, 2025, at 6 PM.

ii. Online purchases require the input of personal information by the Buyer. The processing of personal data complies with the regulations described in the New Data Protection Law (nLPD). For more information, please refer to our privacy policy.

iii. Tickets, Daily Passes, and Festival Passes are subject to availability.

iv. To ensure fair purchasing opportunities for all Buyers, each purchase session is limited to a maximum of tickets, Daily Passes, or Festival Passes per cart.
 
3. Discount Codes (Vouchers)

i. Offered discount codes may vary and are subject to specific terms and conditions.

ii. During the online purchase process, after selecting the desired tickets, Buyers can enter the discount code (“voucher”) in the designated field to apply the discount before proceeding to payment.

iii. Discount codes cannot be combined, unless otherwise specified. In the case of multiple discount codes, the code with the greatest discount will be applied.

iv. The use of discount codes is subject to availability and may be limited in time.
 
4. Benefits
 
a. Ticino Ticket

i. The Festival adheres to the Ticino Ticket initiative and offers its holders a 20% discount on the purchase of a ticket for individual events – unless otherwise specified – through the online ticket office and at authorized event counters. The discount does not apply to the sale of Daily Passes and Festival Passes.

ii. Those who purchase a ticket online through the ticket office with Ticino Ticket discount applied must obligatorily present their Ticino Ticket at the on-site ticket counter before accessing the event.

iii. For questions and regulations specific to Ticino Ticket, please visit www.ticino.ch/ticket.
 
b. Kultur-GA

i. The Festival adheres to the Kultur-GA initiative and allows its holders free admission to all scheduled events, unless otherwised specified.

ii. The Kultur-GA is not available online. Those who would like to redeem their free ticket may do so by presenting their Kultur-GA at the on-site ticket counter before the event.

5. Payment

i. Online payments are accepted via VISA and Mastercard credit cards, Google Pay, and Twint. Payments on-site can be made in cash (Swiss francs and euros), by credit card, and through Twint.

ii. All payments are final and non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation or postponement of the event (see point 8).
 
6. Delivery Methods

i. Tickets, daily passes, and festival passes purchased online will be sent in electronic format (PDF, Apple Wallet, Google Pay) to the email address provided during the purchase process immediately after payment confirmation. Buyers are advised to also check their spam or junk mail folder if they have not received the purchase confirmation in their primary inbox.

ii. In the event of loss or non-receipt of the purchase confirmation and tickets, the Buyer is required to contact the Festival at shop@eventiletterari.ch for ticket retrieval, indicating the buyer’s name and surname, and date of purchase.

iii. Under no circumstances will physical copies of tickets, daily passes, or festival passes be sent to the Buyer.
 
7. Refund and Ticket Exchange Policy

i. Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable, except as specified in point 8.

ii. In case of inability to attend, tickets can be transferred to family and friends. The Buyer understands that this transfer implies sharing their personal data present on the ticket and/or in the electronic purchase confirmation. Unauthorized ticket resale is prohibited.
 
8. Event Cancellation or Postponement

i. In case of event cancellation, a full refund of the ticket amount will be issued using the payment method originally chosen during the purchase process. The right to a refund is reserved exclusively for the Buyer indicated on the ticket and is non-transferable.

ii. In case of event postponement, tickets will be valid for the new date. If the Buyer is unable to attend the new date, they must contact customer service at shop@eventiletterari.ch to explore available options.
 
9. Ticket Control

i. Tickets are subject to security checks at the event entrance. The Buyer must present an electronic or physical copy of their tickets with the QR code clearly visible.

ii. Unauthorized ticket resale is prohibited.
 
10. Changes to General Terms and Conditions

i. The Festival reserves the right to make changes to this policy at any time. Changes will be published on the website www.eventiletterari.ch and will become effective immediately.
